Kim Jae(b.1995)
Lives and works in Seoul
Kim Jae focuses on the impact of science/technology and the resulting changes in society, culture, environment, and ways of life. Particularly within this context, Kim is interested in discovering and highlighting those who become marginalized or excluded from the mainstream. In constructing narratives for those who are marginalized or left out in the process, Kim ensures that their existing contexts are not erased.

Instead, the approach involves weaving together peripheral contexts, invisible details, virtual environments, and their conversations to bring personal incidents into the public sphere. Through this approach, the aim is not only to understand the contemporary era but also to explore possibilities for proposing new directions in the future in response to technological advancements.

Major activities inlclude the solo show ⟪The Possibility of Zero-Noise⟫ (2022, ABMS), group exhibition ⟪In Sync: Re-drawing/imagining and Losing⟫ (2024, Gyocha Place 818), ⟪Seeing Spring⟫ (2024, APOproject), ⟪Circulation of Places⟫ (2023, DDP), and ⟪Noisy Traces⟫ (2021, Placemak3).

김재(b.1995)
